Why buy a home in Lansbury Square, E14?

At Dockleys, we all love London and we want to see it opened up to everyone. That’s why we’re always delighted to be able to offer properties suitable for first time buyers and which qualify for Help To Buy funding.

One such development is Lansbury Square in Poplar, E14. Set in its own landscaped garden on the corners of Rifle, Chrisp and Cording Streets, this development comprises three brand new blocks and features 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, with prices from £390,995 to £629,995

The apartments themselves combine form and function perfectly. Thoughtful layouts with high-quality fittings are the order of the day, with terraces and balconies to provide outdoor space, and useful built-in cupboards for indoor storage. Living areas are open plan to maximise use of space, with full-height windows so you can enjoy some the capital’s best views. The two and three bedroom apartments all have ensuite bathrooms, and larger living spaces so you can hang out with the friends or family you live with.

Poplar – one of the best places to live in London

Lansbury Square is also in a great location. In Transport for London’s zone 2, residents of Lansbury Square have easy access to Langdon Park DLR station, from which you’ll find yourself in Canary Wharf in just five minutes and the City in twenty. The DLR will also take you to London City Airport.

You can also take the tube from Bromley-by-Bow on the District Line, giving yourself access to the rest of London.

For shopping, Lansbury Square has great access to Chrisp Street Market, as well as conventional supermarkets and a post office (don’t underestimate post offices – they’re useful places!). The shopping centres at Canary Wharf are easily accessible on foot or via the DLR – enjoy the huge ranges on offer at Jubilee Place, Canada Place, Cabot Place and Crossrail Place.

There are local leisure facilities too, with Poplar Baths and Leisure Centre just a few minutes’ walk away – you can keep fit without having to spend all day doing it! Stratford and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park are slightly further away, but still easily accessible on the DLR.

Poplar makes a great base, with the rest of London easily accessible on foot or on public transport. Walk down to the River Thames and enjoy the space and the peace, or travel a short way north to vibrant Hackney or east to bustling Shoreditch.
