March 2019 will see the thirtieth MIPIM conference in Cannes. MIPIM is the property market’s major international exhibition, with over three thousand exhibitors and countless visitors.

Who is going to MIPIM 2019?

This year, the big attraction is the opening address from Ban Ki-moon, former Secretary General of the UN. Exhibitors include a company that successfully improved property investment in Dubai, while CBRE share their approach to increasing diversity in real estate. You can also attend talks from JLL and the director of the International Olympic Committee, not to mention urban development academics and professionals from around the world, all providing valuable industry insights on this year’s theme, Engaging the Future.

Networking at MIPIM

I always feel that the real value of these events is not just sharing information but also networking. For me, property expos are a great opportunity to connect with developers, estate agents and property managers, find out the news and discuss the real impact on the property market. At previous expos, I’ve linked up with developers and investors and gone on to help them sell new-build units. It’s also great to meet up with other London estate agents from different postcodes, especially ones from areas where Dockleys offers its property finder service – you never know, I might have clients interested in buying property in your area.

I’m also looking forward to seeing many of you from the property industry whom I know already! We’re often so busy working that we don’t see each other in East London, even though we may work just round the corner from each other.
